Of all the controversial posts Dan Bilzerian shares to his 20.9 million Instagram followers, the one that has caused the most uproar involves an old ass turtle.
Bilzerian posted a picture with one of his bang buddies on the back of a 100-year-old Galapagos giant tortoise at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island. The species of tortoise is protected and listed as ‘vulnerable’ by the World Wildlife Fund, and Branson’s island is a safe haven for such endangered species.
The post garnered thousands of comments skewering Bilzerian for this perceived reckless act. Hedge fund owner Jamison Ernes addressed Branson by saying, “I’m very disappointed to see your beautiful protected creatures used as zoo rides.” Others urged Bilzerian to “stay classy” while some called him a “privileged pussy.”
Bilzerian responded saying: ‘Get off your soapbox, the people working there said it’s fine to sit on them’.
Riding a turtle is like the #2,920 most controversial picture Bilzerian has posted. His feed is basically a soft core porno with guns. I don’t think he really gives a fuck that some troll in Milwaukee thinks his girl should stop riding a turtle. Plus, if I was an endangered turtle who hasn’t gotten laid in a century, I would be elated if a smoke pistol rode me around. Spank bank material for daysssssss.
