In seems sacrilegious and almost unthinkable to remake the classic comedy, National Lampoon’s Vacation, but based on the red band trailer it just might work.
Ed Helms is Rusty Griswold, who is all grown up and wants to give his family a once-in-a-lifetime vacation that they will never forget, much like his father did for him. Christina Applegate, who plays his wife Debbie, must deal with all of the mayhem the family encounters on their way to Wally World.
The cast also features Leslie Mann, Keegan-Michael Key, Nick Kroll, Charlie Day and Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth.
They even have the hot girl in a Ferrari, but instead of lovely Christie Brinkley they have beautiful Hannah Davis. Well. Had.
They acknowledge that the original Vacation movie was a classic, but Rusty reassures, “The new vacation will stand on it’s own.” It seems like it will be a little edgy with talk of rimjobs and glory holes.
The vacation starts on July 29th.
