The Rock Confirms Shazam Movie Role, Reveals Which Part He Will Be Playing

Back when he was promoting Hercules Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson dropped a giant hint that he was going to be in the upcoming Marvel Shazam movie, but he didn’t say which role he’d be playing. Now we “know his role.”

In fact, back then we’re pretty sure that even HE didn’t know which role he would be playing. He did mention the possibility of playing the superhero role of Shazam, but he also mentioned Black Adam, the villain. Turns out he’s going to be the bad guy.

Interesting that he used the hashtag #TheAntiHero. Does that mean Black Adam isn’t going to be ALL BAD in the flick? Hmmm…

Either way, now that this has been announced, expect a flood of hype and wrestling-style promos on The Rock’s social media outlets until the movie finally comes out, which based on all the other superhero-based movies’ planned premiere dates, should be sometime around 2022.
