SDCC: First ‘Deadpool’ Trailer Shocks, Thrills And Mesmerizes Audience At Comic-Con

The hype for Deadpool has been years in the making and finally fans of the crude anti-hero got their initial glimpse of the highly anticipated movie with the viewing of the first trailer being shown at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con. The trailer was shown during Saturday night’s 20th Century Fox panel featuring Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, co-stars T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano. This is the leaked footage, so it isn’t perfect, but Deadpool fans will eat it up. Even if you don’t love Deadpool AKA a “testical with teeth,” you can still watch the small, grainy trailer and dance along to Salt-N-Peppa’s “Shoop.”

“(It’s) the most faithful adaptation of a comic book to a movie I’ve ever seen,” Reynolds said of the film. “I’ve only ever done one other proper, actually not proper, superhero movie,” referencing The Green Lantern, which did not meet expectations at the box office.

It appears that they are really amping up the violence for everyone’s favorite anti-hero as seen in this one shot through three skulls kill scene.

“”This is how they ended the panel with a simple photo op with Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Channing Tatum, Stan Lee, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Miles Teller, Lucas Till, Alexandra Shipp and Chris Hardwick.

Deadpool opens Feb. 12, 2016.
