SNL: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Announces He Is Running For President In 2020

With Donald Trump becoming the 45th President of the United States it has inspired other celebrities with zero political experience to contemplate making a run at the White House in 2020, one of those people is Dwayne Johnson. Two weeks ago, The Rock revealed that he is seriously weighing options of a foray into politics. On “Saturday Night Live,” Johnson said “starting tonight I am running for the President of the United States!”

The Rock enthusiastically shouted, “I’m in!”

“Now, in the past, I would have never considered running for president,” Johnson said. “I didn’t think I was qualified at all, but now I’m actually worried that I’m too qualified.”

And Johnson has already selected a running mate, none other than Tom Hanks.

“The truth is that America needs us,” said Hanks. “No one can seem to agree on anything anymore, except for two things… pizza and us.”

Hanks points out a valid reason why he believes that Americans love him.

“I mean, I have been in two movies where the plane crashes, and people are still excited to see me on their flight,” Hanks said. “Together, we would get one hundred percent of the vote. I would get the senior vote because I fought in World War II… in like, ten different movies.”

“And of course, I would get the minority vote, because everyone just assumes that I’m, well, whatever they are,” Johnson said.

“We will sacrifice and we will suffer but in the end we will win, because in the end we are Americans and that’s what Americans do,” said Hanks.
