SNL: Watch What Game Of Thrones Would Look Like If It Was Based In The Hood Of South Centros

There are only a handful of black characters on Game of Thrones, and some have even suggested that the books and the show do not do enough to promote racial diversity. However, SNL (Which knows a thing or two about getting lambasted for racial diversity issues), is here to help George R.R. Martin expand his world.

Saturday Night Live created an eighth kingdom, South Centros, which is a medieval version of  South Central Los Angeles from John Singleton’s 1991 classic Boyz n the Hood.

Kenan Thompson does an outstanding Ice Cube impression and is “breeding dire wolves” in the back to help in his war against the Lannisters. Even the actual Jamie Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, casually rides by Tre and Doughboy to let them know that he has his eyes on them and that the Lannisters always pay their debts.

Taraji P. Henson from Empire, plays the role of a concerned mother who doesn’t want to see her baby get killed in the tough streets of South Centros.

The driveby shootings in this land are done by crossbow and horse. Sasheer Zamata sends a message when she shoots a girl in the heart and declares, “Ray Ray Baratheon says ‘Good morrow,’ wench.”

All in all, this is one of the better Game of Thrones parodies, and only builds the anticipation to see Sunday night’s Season 5 premiere. Unless you’ve already seen t he first four episodes from the massive leak.
