Stephen Colbert Mocks The Police Over The St. Louis Rams ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ Controversy

Leave it to Stephen Colbert to be the voice of reason (and comedy) in this whole controversy over some St. Louis Rams players entering the field on Sunday with their arms raised in a “hands-up, don’t shoot” gesture, obviously protesting the Ferguson Grand Jury decision of last week.

Says Colbert at one point, “You know what? Things would be a lot calmer if black people just agreed never to put their hands up. Or in their pockets…” referencing this recent video of a black man being stopped by a cop for having his hands in his pockets…on a freezing cold day.

He even slips in a Ray Rice reference in there for good measure, because that’s what he does.
