Back in February Liam Neeson was quoted as saying that he’d be willing to do a Taken 3, but only under certain circumstances:
In the first “Taken,” Neeson’s character Bryan Mills’ daughter was taken. In “Taken 2,” he and his wife were taken. In “Taken 3″…. “We’ve taken everyone we can take — it’s going to go in another direction. Should be interesting…”
“How many times can she be taken?” he asked a few weeks ago. “I mean, it’s bad parenthood, really, after that.”
Hence why no one gets “taken” in the trailer, and instead people get “dead” and “shot.” But hey, what else are you looking for in an action movie? Romance? Sparkly vampires? Nah, let’s get some bullets flying and people dramatically falling over everywhere in a PG-13 fashion without the blood and gore.
