Green Day Pulled A Fan In Chicago On Stage To Play ‘When I Come Around’ And The Fan Totally Nailed It!

At their concert in Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom on Sunday, Green Day pulled a fan with pink hair on stage to play ‘When I Come Around’ with them. This is one of their most famous songs, and a song that helped land Green Day in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland after keeping them atop the charts for most of the 90’s and 00’s.

There’s always a chance that the band knew this fan and it was staged, but it appears as if they pulled him out of the crowd and gave him the chance to shred ‘When I Come Around’ in front of a packed house, something that has probably been a lifelong dream of that fan. Well, he shredded the absolute shit out of the song and brought the house down. Billy Joe Armstrong even let him sing part of the song and the fan was up to the task.

I’ll never get tired of seeing videos like this, of a diehard fan getting to realize their ultimate dream of playing a song with the band they’ve spent the majority of their lives idolizing.

Green Day’s got one more tour date this month, playing at The Pageant in St. Louis tonight, but then they’re taking a break until January when they’ll hop back on the road for a MASSIVE European tour. So if you’re a Green Day fan and plan on being in Europe any time throughout January or February you need to check out THESE TOUR DATES and scoop up your ticket!
