Kanye West Broke Down Attempting To Justify Interrupting Taylor Swift At The 2009 VMAs

Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, still living in 2009!

Kanye West just doubled down on the lyrical backdrop of “Famous” off of his recent album, The Life Of Pablo, during his first show since the album dropped, in the Philippines on Sunday night.

Defending the song which touts, “I feel like me and Taylor [Swift] might still have sex / Why? I made that b**ch famous,” West launched into a two minute rant in front of fans, stating, among other things about the infamous 2009 VMAs incident, that it was “the beginning of the end of [his] life,” and that he “was just saying what everyone else was thinking,” with regards to Beyoncé’s video getting snubbed.

Oh Kanye…

Classic Kanye, am I right? Seriously, this quote couldn’t be more Yeezy if it tried.

“And I had to fight every day for the rest of my life with the whole world turned against me for saying out loud what everyone else felt,” West said. “But that’s the job of the artist, of a true artist: not to be controlled by their finances, not to be controlled by perception, but only to be controlled by their truth.”

Having to fight every day for the rest of his life for a situation he completely brought on himself…and still belaying blame to everyone else but himself. This dude never ceases to amaze, man.

In case you need a refresher for the cringe-worthy moment where he took over Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs, look no further…
