Listen to Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz’s New Track ‘Mercy’

by 6 years ago

The unexpected release threw prominent New York DJ's Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue in a rivalry as they both played the track with their own ad-libs and promo's while taking subliminal jabs at each other across the airwaves. Regardless, 'Mercy' is a solid showcase of lyrical talent from all the G.O.O.D. music members (and 2 Chainz) — expect Kanye himself. With the heavily dubbed  Lamborghini Murcielago references as the backdrop for the hook, new G.O.O.D. Music producer, Lifted, provides an upbeat, multifaceted instrumental with too much swag. Big Sean and Pusha-T lay the lyrical foundation for their label head to absolutely go HAM  on his verse, but Kanye disappoints. Not sure if he's distracted by Kim K's assets or recent threats from PETA, but his lyrics are tired and repetitive. I mean honestly, how many times can we listen to this guy talk about rich and cool he is? We get it Yeezus. You have a private jet and a lot of money. Get back to the thought provoking lyrics. All in all, 'Mercy' is a safe bet as the first single of the compilation, and it remains to be seen if Ye will actually show up on this project. You can download the track from iTunes here.

Who's buying it at midnight?
