Mac Miller is back bros and broettes. The 23-year-old Pittsburgh rapper burst onto the rap scene as a high schooler, releasing his debut album entitled Blue Side Park 2011, which would reach the number one spot on the Billboard 200 charts.
Miller self-admittedly became addicted to “purple drank,” a mixture of promethazine and codeine, to help manage the stress while touring in 2012. In a 2012 interview with Complex, Miller said:
“I love lean; it’s great. I was not happy and I was on lean very heavy. I was so fucked up all the time it was bad. My friends couldn’t even look at me the same. I was lost.”
Miller quit the purple drank, turned his life around, and continued making dope music–recently releasing the long anticipated GO:OD AM album.
According to Uproxx, the below scene occurred at his show in Santa Cruz last Friday. The crowd chanted for him to do one more song, but got something far greater–a Stone Cold Steve Austin impersonation.
