Metallica, The Roots, And Jimmy Fallon Play ‘Enter Sandman’ With Classroom Instruments

Last night, Metallica appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform ‘Enter Sandman’ with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots using nothing but classroom instruments (kazoos, xylophones, ukeleles, etc.). This is not the Metallica you remember from the 1980s/1990s but that doesn’t make this any less amazing.

My mornings usually start with me waking up and checking the YouTube channels of the major ‘Late Night TV’ shows to see what’s been trending from the night before and I can say with confidence that this is the video that’ll be blowing up your Facebook feed by noon today. So if you want to get ahead of the curve you can go ahead and hit that share button now.

This ‘Jimmy Fallon and The Roots Play XYZ with ABC using classroom instruments’ concept is a sketch that Jimmy used to bust out a lot more, so it’s nice to see Jimmy throwing it back to the old school.

Now, if you need to remind yourself about the immense power and energy of the original ‘Enter Sandman’ from Metallica you can just hit the ‘play’ button on the music video below:
