Nets Owner Mikhail Prokhorov Plans to Rap with Jay-Z at Barclays Center
Prokhorov has jokingly rapped before on a Russian talk show, but this performance would be a little more high-stakes. Dude's going up against Hova, after all.
The news comes from Crain's New York Business:
According to Mr. Prokhorov, a reprise [of his talk-show rap] is in the works, but this time in downtown Brooklyn, where Jay-Z will open the $1 billion Barclays Center with a series of sold-out concerts this fall. “Yes, I will rap at his concert,” Mr. Prokhorov informed Crain's via email. “I am in rehearsals now 10 hours a day and plan to demand joint billing.”
Important to note here that Prokhorov is kidding about the 10 hour rehearsals and the joint-billing. However, there is a definite possibility that the owner will make an appearance during at least one of the shows. Eat your heart out, Cubes. There's a new coolest owner in town.
