Last night, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, I saw Phish live for the 99th time ever. Tonight I cross the 100 show marker, which is kind of crazy when you think about it — I’ve spent a hundred days of my life hyped to go see Phish, an improvisational jam rock band from Vermont.
So what keeps weirdo like me coming back? Pure musical bliss, as captured by this young man’s face on the floor of Madison Square Garden last night.
This kid gets it. He read the book. He’s the viral hero the world needs right now.
