This Japanese Music Video Is Going Viral And It’s Like Rebecca Black And Gangnam Style Had A YouTube Baby

The music video for ‘Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen’ is picking up millions of views by they day and in just a moment you’ll see why. It’s almost as if this is an unintentional homage to all of the ridiculous YouTube music videos over the years that have gone viral: ‘What does the fox say?’, ‘Gangham Style’, Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ (by the way, Rebecca Black got HOT), and ‘What WWhat in the Butt’.

I see bits and pieces of every monumental viral video in ‘Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen’ but I really can’t place my finger on what makes this one so unique, or why ‘PPAP’ even exists in the first place. Unfortunately, I don’t read Japanese so I can’t decipher if this is some sort of advertisement or if it’s a genuine headscratcher. Either way, this is the next ‘mega viral’ video on the Internet so if you haven’t yet watched it you can put your 68-seconds in and be done with it forever.
