Will Smith ‘Movin’ With His Auntie and Uncle In Bel Air’ Again, Plans Fresh Prince Reboot

Although the Internet is enraged about all the movie remakes that have been announced recently, one reboot that might turn the collective frown upside down is the news about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air coming back to the TV.

Yep, you read that correctly.

According to the website TVLine, Will Smith is in the “very early stages of developing a present-day Fresh Prince reboot,” giving us kids of the ’90s one of our favorite shows back.

While the pitch is considered to be “being finalized” by Smith’s production company—with the star of the original show acting as the producer of the new sitcom—it sounds like the idea will be floating around and shopped in the next couple of weeks.

There’s a lot of momentum here to believe that The Fresh Prince will be back on the airwaves in the not-too-distant future, giving us moments like the Smith-DJ Jazzy Jeff handshake and the Carlton Dance.

With the announcements of shows like Fuller House and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers getting reboots, this is one that us dudes will actually want to watch.
