Little Book Whiskey — First-Ever Release From An 8th Generation Beam Family Member

things we want little book bourbon

Little Book Bourbon

I’m very pleased to introduce you all to Little Book Whiskey, the first-ever released from Freddie Noe. Freddie is an 8th generation member of the Beam Family (as in ‘Jim Beam’), and he’s said to have inherited his grandfather’s legendary nose and palate for whiskey. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a bottle of Little Book this week. Little Book is a blend of 4-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, 13-year-old corn whiskey, ~6-year-old 100% malt whiskey, and ~6-year-old high-rye whiskey. It carries a very smooth taste of caramel, with strong notes of oak. I’ve been drinking this on the rocks and neat, and it’s a very drinkable whiskey in both styles.

Little Book will be released nationwide in October (in limited quantities), and a 750ml bottle will have a suggested retail price of $79.99 (I’d pay a lot more than that, tbh). Freddie Noe is going to have a very, very successful career in the family Whiskey/Bourbon business if he continues to put out spirits as delicious as the Little Book.

Volcom

The Volcom Lane TDS Parka just hit stores on September 15th as part of Volcom’s Winter 2017/2018 line, and this jacket is amazing. Volcom’s newest Winter collection is their most technologically advanced yet. The Lane TDS Parka features infrared thermal panels which are constructed with insulation. These panels are placed strategically around the jacket to preserve warmth and to recycle the body’s natural heat back into the core.

Seriously, this is one of those ‘the future is now’ moments. There are also zippered vents located throughout to cool down quickly. YETI Lowball Rambler — 10oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Cup Perfect For Bourbon

things we want

When I first came across Yeti’s 10oz Lowball Rambler I didn’t know what to make of it. It seemed too small to really be practical. Then I remembered how much I love bourbon, and how I use one gigantic ice cube in my bourbon. It clicked. And I realized that this is truly the perfect cup for drinking bourbon and/or cocktails because the ice lasts forever, and the Lowball glass is cocktail sized. Trust me when I say that you’ll be very glad you have this 10oz Yeti Lowball Rambler for camping, tailgates, and drinking at home. It’s become my go-to glass for cracking bourbon these days.

Amazon’s New Line Of Echo Products — Get Your ‘Smart Home’ Together Starting With These

New Amazon Echo Products

Amazon.com

Amazon just released a ton of new Echo products. My colleague Chris did a write-up of them which you can read here or by following that link below.

“Today at a surprise event in Seattle, Amazon unveiled five new Echo devices, including two new editions of its now-hallmark product, the voice-enabled Echo speaker.
The baseline Echo will cost $100, which is significantly cheaper than the $180 version currently in stores. The company will also be offering a $150 Echo Plus, which is preprogrammed to be compatible with 100 different devices including smart lights and locks.”

I love my Amazon Echo at home. Iv’e got it in the kitchen and it’s perfect for listening to music while cooking, or for ordering items that I’ve run out of because I’m thinking about them on the spot.
