We’ve seen some pretty amazing new shoes come out over the past few months, including some Air Jordan 1 golf shoes that are NUTS, but these “Black Cat” Air Jordan 13 kicks might just be the coolest.

Not only are these shoes inspired by the superhero Black Panther, they are also a tribute to Michael Jordan’s nickname as a youth, “Black Cat.”

From Nike

The Air Jordan XIII embodied His Airness’ slick, black cat alter ego. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the 1998 game shoe took on a paw-like tooling, paired with a performance-driven combination of reflective mesh, suede and leather up above.

Nearly two decades later, the design now takes the “Black Cat” inspiration even further. Black, premium leather and suede construct the design in fitting fashion, paired with reflective detailing and subtle anthracite accents.

Kicks On Fire describes the shoes…

The silhouette boasts a stealthy black finish across its entire upper with 3M reflective detailing evident throughout, as well as on the laces. The respective theme is further evident with the circular hologram on the heel and outsole to simply mimic the panther’s eye respectively. In addition, slight glossy portions on the matching rubber sole unit finish off its understated and sleek design.

The ‘Black Cat’ Retro Air Jordan 13 will be released on Saturday, January 21st, on Nike.com as well as other locations.
