These chairs built from real AK-47 rifles were created by Austrian designer Rainer Weber. The rifles were dismantled and are no longer operational. Probably for the best.
The pistol grips are varnished in black and the wooden stocks are treated with a special varnish. It also has the original, chrome-plated AK47 cartridges.
The chair makers also offer a package deal where you get an original Russian steel helmet – chrome-plated, and featuring leather-coated interior — to wear when lounging around or preparing for the end of days.
