When you think of Bentley, the words “SUV” and “energy-efficient” are not the first thoughts that come into your mind. In 2018, things are about to change because the hybrid Bentley Bentayga SUV is both of those. At the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, Bentley unveiled their ultra-luxury Bentayga Hybrid that is the British automaker’s greenest vehicle they have ever produced.

Make no mistake, the Bentayga Hybrid is no Tesla and only has an all-electric range of only 31 miles. The hybrid-electric version is a much more efficient than the 2016 12-cylinder or the 2018 V8 Bentayga. The hybrid version has C02 emissions of 75 g/km, compared to the V8 that pumps out 260 g/km. The household charger takes 7.5 hours to charge and the industrial quick-charge takes 2.5 hours. The luxury car features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, but no performance figures have been released yet. While a price point for the hybrid SUV hasn’t been announced yet, the regular Bentley Bentayga has a price tag of $200,000.
