Next Time You’re Trying to Woo a Girl on a Date, Pay the Check on an App Without Asking for It

There is nothing worse than a post-meal,  pre-departure lull when you’re out on a date. It can make or break an evening, especially if you’re at a busy restaurant and the waiter neglects to ask you if you’re ready to pay and get the hell out of there.

It’s even worse when you’re trying to woo a lady (and you should be, BroBible reader), because those precious minutes of waiting around are usually the most uncomfortable small talk of the evening; both of you are playing mind games, filling in gaps from previous conversation in the evening, and  plotting your next move, which might not always be the one the other party is expecting.  It’s a lag-time with a weird vibe that can be a real evening-killer. If you’ve been there, you know. It sucks.

Fortunately, there’s an app to help eliminate that exact awkwardness. It’s called Cover and it’s basically the Uber of paying for your food on a date while dining out. No asking for the check required. It’s as simple as a few taps before you start  your meal. It’s currently available for use at all sorts of trendy date night restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn (including BroBible’s unofficial Soho HQs, Lure Fishbar and B&B Winepub). It just launched in Brooklyn last week, so be sure to hit up BrisketTown and Do or Dine.

NY Bros, save yourself the hassle of check awkwardness on your next date. Download Cover here.
