If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Drake’s OVO Air Jordans Were Already Released

Nike sneakily sneaked out Drake’s new sneakers, the Air Jordan 10 OVO on Thursday. The date was not announced, possibly to avoid the violence that has occurred during some Air Jordan releases in the past.

Sneakerheads were expecting the release of the kicks since January when they were officially revealed. Then a few weeks ago, an October’s Very Own pop-up store opened up in Los Angeles, which sparked rumors of the release of the shoes.

Some lucky people somehow got their hands on the highly coveted kicks before yesterday and wisely put them for sale on eBay for $14,000!

Then on April 16, the pop-up store released the OVO Air Jordan without any notice. The release date of 4/16 is significant because Drake is from Toronto and the area code there is… 416. Drake loves his hometown so much so that he even had “416” tattooed on his rib cage.

The Air Jordan 10 OVO come in two classic colorways of Black and White and both pairs retail for $225.

KicksOnFire have the deets on the kicks:

Enhanced with luxurious details such as stingray leather gracing the upper and mudguard, alongside scotch grain leather panelling on its tongue, the modified sneakers are completed with subtle Gold hits such as Drake’s signature ‘OVO’ owl emblem adorning the insole and Jordan Brand’s Jumpman logo on the heel.

Nike has not stated on how many pairs of the sneaker will be available and if they will be re-released. The pop-up store is said to be closing on April 30.
