Everyone’s Freaking Out Over This Supposed ‘Leaked’ Info About The 2020 Ford Bronco Returning

There has been A TON of chatter in recent days about the Ford Bronco once again returning to production alongside the Ford Ranger. These two vehicles used to be at the forefront of Ford’s line of trucks and SUVs but they were taken out of production much to the dismay of gearheads worldwide.

Not too long ago, Ford officially announced the dates at which the Ford Bronco and Ranger would be returning (2020 and 2019 respectively), but that’s really the only news we’ve received on these highly anticipated vehicles…until now.

In an ‘AMA’ on Reddit (‘Ask Me Anything’), someone purporting to work at Ford and be integral to this project leaked a ton of details about what to expect from the 2020 Ford Bronco. Ford dismissed this person as an impostor, or someone who’s gone rogue, stating that they didn’t officially sanction this Reddit AMA. The moderators on Reddit did independently verify user ‘FordDesignBurner‘s account, and the claims he made in his AMA are being accepted as legitimate all across the industry. This user has since deleted his Reddit account, but not before our bros over at The RSVLTS (and Jalopnik) saved all of the info he leaked about the 2020 Ford Bronco:

It will essentially be a rebadged Everest but there will be differences. It will be a 4 door. I definitely can’t discuss pricing in detail but it will be competitive with the Colorado and cheaper than a similar F-150.

We are benchmarking the Wrangler Unlimited for design considerations on the Bronco, but the doors/roof/windshield won’t move.

This supposed Ford designer also leaked information about the 2019 Ford Ranger:

It will be facelifted, new headlights, grille, and front fascia. Corporate has mandated that the major body panels go unchanged.

Our test mules are visually comparable in size to my coworker’s ‘02 F-150, but I haven’t taken a tape measure to either truck.

None of this is verified information as Ford was quick to deny that they had anything to do with this AMA but as I said before, most of the industry is accepting this information as legitimate because it aligns with what most people expected to come. The Reddit user who has since deleted his throwaway account also seems to have an unnatural understanding of Ford’s design process, so in all likelihood the information above about the 2020 Ford Bronco is legit.
