Bros, If You Have Your iPhone Set To This Date, You’re Basically Screwed

ATTENTION BASICALLY EVERYONE ON EARTH, with the exception of those few jaded souls who insist on living life with a flip phone: Several tireless Reddit users have discovered that there’s an iOS bug that affects iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches that will completely fuck up your device if you manually change the date of your system’s settings to May 1970 or earlier.

Previously, it was discovered that setting your iOS date and time back to January 1st 1970 would crash the whole goddamn thing.

Here’s the official statement from Apple:

“Manually changing the date to May 1970 or earlier can prevent your iOS device from turning on after a restart. An upcoming software update will prevent this issue from affecting iOS devices. If you have this issue, contact Apple Support.”

Until Apple’s official update kicks in, which will come much later than it should, we must all fend for ourselves. I know, weird feeling. But whatever, you’ve been warned, Bros!
