The Tesla Model 3 Was Announced Last Night And This Car’s Basically Hot Sex On A Platter

Around midnight last night (probable super villain) Elon Musk unveiled the Tesla Model 3. This addition to the Tesla Motors line of electric vehicles is set to be released at the end of 2017, and it will retail for $35,000.

At this price point the Tesla Model 3 is the electric car that everyone has been waiting for, but it looks like there might be a bit of a wait for this badass vehicle as there have already been over 130,000 preorders in the first 24-hours. It’s easy to see why:

Many were on hand last night at the reveal event for the Tesla Model 3, and there was also a video live streaming the event worldwide for Tesla Motors enthusiasts. Here are some of the photos from that event that popped up in Imgur immediately:

via The Verge:

At the unveiling of the Model 3 this evening at the company’s design studio in Hawthorne, California, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the car will deliver at least 215 miles of range beginning at just $35,000 — that’s a bold claim, and an important one for Tesla to meet. Musk is “fairly confident” that deliveries will begin by the end of 2017, and “you will not be able to buy a better car for $35,000, even with no options.” And it will be one of the safest cars in the world, according to Musk.

So if you’re in the market for a new car and are thinking of going electric then you might want to start stashing away a few shekels for the Tesla Model 3. Over on Tesla’s website it’ll only cost you $1,000 to reserve your Model 3 today.
