Ummm…. How Sick Is This 2017 Lexus LC 500 Coupe?!

I’m a huge fan of how aggressive the designers at Lexus are these days. What Lexus currently has going for it, aesthetically, is the intimidating aggressiveness of the Spindle Grille. It’s like chainmail armor for cars of the digital age. Even “around town” cars like the Lexus NX and RX look like the brainchildren of Optimus Prime.

In short, Lexus isn’t just for Sunday outings to the tennis club anymore.

The 2017 Lexus LC 500 Coupe is the latest car from Lexus to wow the world. It was unveiled this past week at the North American Auto Show in Detroit. Positioned to phase out Lexus’s LS line, the LC 500 sits in a competitive category with coupes like the BMW 6 Series. But the new line has the specs to flex against such a competitor — Inside, it boasts a 5.0-liter V8 that’s capable of 467 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque. With a zippy 10-speed automatic transmission, it power through a 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

It’s a sexy looking car, presumably with a price tag north of six figures when it hits showrooms.
