The drug game just got a little less sexy, after Mexican authorities announced the arrest of Ana Marie Hernandez.
Hernandez was considered “the world’s most beautiful smuggler,” by media types, allegedly controlling the coke scene in the American Midwest.
Hernandez was captured by Mexican authorities this week and is expected to be extradited to the United States.
This is the second time she’s been busted. Her and her husband (darn) were arrested by the U.S. in 2013 and pled guilty to drug smuggling. They fled though, and were assumed to be back working in Mexico.
Hernandez, who is nicknamed ‘La Muñeca’ (The Doll), is believed to be part of the Sinaloa cartel, headed up by El Chapo, Joaquín Guzmán.
