Check Out Gal Gadot As Miss Israel 2004, Then Marvel At Her Wicked Workout For ‘Wonder Woman’

So have you seen Wonder Woman yet? If not, watch this epic (and spoiler-free) review of the film and you’ll almost have to go see it.

The film is the best DC Comics movie since Christian Bale played Batman and that’s due in very large part to just how well Gal Gadot played the role of Princess Diana. I mean, she was already the best part of Batman V Superman, but now she’s proven without a doubt that currently she’s the real star of the DC Universe.

Of course, being a star is nothing new to Gal Gadot, despite the fact that many folks hadn’t really heard of her before Wonder Woman. I became a fan of hers way back in 2009 when she appeared in her first Hollywood movie, Fast & Furious, playing Gisele Yashar.

However, by that point I was already five years late in finding out about her as even further back, in 2004, Gadot was crowned Miss Israel at the age of 18 and went on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

So tell me again why we had had to wait so long for her to become a breakout star in Hollywood? Hello?

Oh yeah, did I mention the fact that in addition to being Miss Israel, Gadot, starting at age 20, also served two years as a combat instructor in the Israel Defense Forces? Yeah…

No wonder she was able to withstand the punishing workout regimen she had to undergo to play a butt-kicking goddess created by Zeus…

Awesome. No wonder she’s becoming such an inspiration to others, huh?
