Scientist Discovered The Gene For ALS Thanks To The Ice Bucket Challenge, So Here's Every Single Babe Who Did It

Here’s some great news today. Thanks in large part to money raised two years ago by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, scientists with the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Project MinE have identified the gene that is responsible for ALS.

“The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge enabled us to secure funding from new sources in new parts of the world,” Bernard Muller, founder of Project MinE and ALS patient, said in a statement. “This transatlantic collaboration supports our global gene hunt to identify the genetic drivers of ALS.”

Fuck yea! We fucking did something.
