Kate Upton Was Reportedly A ‘F*cking Diva’ About Getting On This Year’s SI Swimsuit Issue Cover

Back in 2015, the New York Post ran an article about how one-time It Girl Kate Upton’s ego was “ruining her career.”

The Post reported back then…

“She became really unappreciative of her success,” says a fashion publicist who asked not to be named for professional reasons, commenting on her general behavior. “It totally went to her head. She didn’t understand that people had taken a chance on her.”

Another modeling-world veteran says Upton’s demands became ridiculous, including asking for photographer approval on shoots and refusing to be photographed with other models.

Fast forward a couple of years and it sounds like the same story, only this time it has to do with her possibly appearing on the cover of the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

According to Page Six

Sources tell us that an appearance by Upton — whose Rookie of the Year pictures in the mag in 2011 helped make her a star — is still up in the air because of her diva demands.

“There was drama,” says the source. “Kate demanded that if she did the shoot, that she absolutely must get the cover. She also had a list of photographers and hair and makeup people she would only work with.”

Upton appeared on the magazine’s cover twice, in 2012 and 2013, when she was photographed in Antarctica.

The source continued of this time around, “She was being a big f–king diva. She’s thinks she’s better than everyone because she’s an actress.”

They also report that, just like last year with Ashley Graham, Hailey Clauson and Ronda Rousey, Sports Illustrated will likely again release three covers with Serena Williams, Christie Brinkley (who looks amazing) and Upton as the cover models. Upton is the only one that is reportedly still up in the air, however.

Whether any of this is true or not remains to be seen, but if so, and Upton is officially back, then I know I won’t mind seeing stuff like this happening all over again one single bit…
