Kelsea Ballerini has somehow been flying relatively under the radar on her ascent in the Country Music world. I listen to Country Music every time I get in the car and I’d never heard of her until yesterday when I was at the checkout line at Publix and saw her on the cover of some magazine claiming that she was going to be the next Nashville superstar. Actually, I knew her music but I didn’t know her name until yesterday, so now I can put a face to the name.
So I got home and did a little research, and learned that she’s already sang on the Grand Ole Opry and that she was named one of CMT’s ‘Next Women of Country in 2014’ just two years ago. She’s also been doing interviews recently about the importance of Pop-Country Music crossovers, which has begun all the comparisons to Taylor Swift.
