Over the weekend, the internet was flush with reports that Taylor Swift’s supermodel BFF Karlie Kloss had moved into the singer’s Beverly Hills mansion.
That seems… not all that out of the ordinary. Taylor owns houses across the country. Without even Googling, I know she has places in Rhode Island, New York City, Nashville and Los Angeles. Lately, she’s been staying in her Tribeca apartment, shuffling between the gym and used bookstores.
Which goes to suppose that her other apartments are not being occupied by people who are also herself. So, she is letting her friend crash at one.
But, does that mean she likes girls? One newspaper says… drum roll… you already know the answer… but we are gonna build suspense anyway…
Yes.
The Daily Mail went so far as to say that Kloss, who just happens to model Victoria’s Secret underwear for her day job, was Swift’s soulmate.
“Taylor and Karlie have grown very close,” [a source said]. “They are inseparable. Taylor wanted someone to live with her, to have some company, and Karlie jumped at the chance to move in with her friend. They spent a lot of time together before Karlie moved in but now they are rarely apart. They do everything together, from visits to the gym to going on road trips.”
Totally.
Okay, I imagine this Mail columnist has never seen two early twenties girl besties before. They share beds. They hug. They do things that can give off the appearance of being lesbians. But the majority of them aren’t.
But screw it. Let’s ask the question: Is Taylor Swift a lesbian?
Well, according to Gawker, “Neither Swift nor Kloss publicly challenged the column’s accuracy when it was published last week.”
Hmmm.
