For almost 20 years there has been a World Bodypainting Festival. Did you know that? I did not know that. Has it been 20 years since Sports Illustrated started painting up their models? Not important. What’s important is that this event, which showcases some very talented artists and models and is witnessed by visitors from over 40 countries, took place last week in Austria.
More than 250 artist teams and 1,500 participants attended this year’s World Bodypainting Festival and while I don’t know who won the World Champion titles there this year I did find a handful of amazingly creative photos that are certainly deserving of special attention.
