As we shared with you earlier today, Team USA’s Lilly King dropped a couple of sick burns on Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova for her past doping offenses during Sunday night’s 100m breaststroke semi-finals. If you haven’t seen it yet you should go check it out because it was pretty epic and turned Lilly King into America’s current internet hero.
For some background, Efimova was one of seven Russian swimmers who had been banned from the Summer Olympics for doping, but was reinstated just prior to the Games. This was something Lilly King was not happy about and let it be known in awesome fashion Sunday night on live TV.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that in addition to being a good, albeit cheating swimmer, Yulia Efimova is also quite hot and likes to show it off on Instagram.
Naturally, as an American I will still be rooting for King all the way, but as if this 100m breaststroke final that airs tonight needed another reason for me to watch it I just got it.
