Brian Urlacher hates Bears fans

By 12.17.12

After starting the season 7-1, the Bears have now lost 5 of their last 6, leaving them in danger of missing the playoffs. Yesterday the team was treated somewhat harshly by the Soldier Field crowd as boos rained down towards the end of their loss to the Packers.

Brian Urlacher was rather displeased with this show of emotion and indicated as much in an interview with Fox Chicago. “Our crowd was pretty good today for the most part. They were loud for a minute there. The boos were really loud, which is always nice. The only team in our division to get booed at home is us. It’s unbelievable to me.”

I don’t want to call you a liar Brian Urlacher, but your pants are up in smoke. True story: I attended a Lions game where fans pelted players with toilet paper after they lost and subsequently missed out on the playoffs. It was about as disgraceful a scene as I had ever witnessed. But I digress. Continuing with Urlacher’s rant.

“Two of the people I don’t care about, fans or the media,” Urlacher said. “They can say what they want to about our head coach, about our players. It does bother me because those people don’t know what they’re talking about, obviously.

And there you have it folks. The very moment things went south for the Chicago Bears in the 2012 season. Should they miss out on the playoffs, it will more than likely mean the end of Lovie Smith, Rod Marinelli and a number of Bears players. And the fans, well, they don’t seem to bothered by it.

Tangibly related, this jersey.
