Bryce Harper opens season with two home runs

Everyone’s favorite Washington National, Bryce Harper, opened the season with two home runs in his first two at-bats. Of note, the feat came against the Miami Marlins, an organization barely capable of fielding a professional team.

I suspect there may be an asterisk one day for Harper’s achievement (because of Miami’s incompetence) but for now, enjoy it for what it is.

And yes, cue local sports guy saying “Bryce Harper is on pace for 324 home runs.”
