Cubs CF David DeJesus was out buying green juice with his wife when he received a call from Theo Epstein. He had been traded to the Nationals. DeJesus spent a year and a half with the Cubs and the family had grown quite fond of the Chicago area. His wife, Kim, is from nearby Wheaton.
She cried when she heard on the news, more so because she had to break the news to her son.
Not quite sure how to explain all this to a 3 year old who sleeps on a Cubs pillow every night and calls the clubhouse his basement
