Dogfish Head 120-Minute IPA to be released in June

Dogfish Head 120-Minute IPA is almost ready to ship. This Holy Grail for hopheads sells out quickly, so keep your eyes on the store shelves at the end of June for your chance to buy it.

My mother always told me not to judge a beer by the quality of it’s “quick sip clip.” What Dogfish Head lacked in video production value back in ’09, they more than make up for with the contents and brewing technique behind their 120-Minute IPA. I don’t consider myself a beer geek, but it is fun to see the early stuff used by one of the top craft brewers. Just try to imagine Dogfish Head filling bottles on that little two hitter now that they sell 4 million 4-packs per year! It also doesn’t take a geek to appreciate the beer knowledge that Sam Calagione is dropping here. It’s a good and easy lesson for anyone who wants to understand more about what they’re drinking. Whatever you do though, don’t get pumped after this IBU tutorial and go slam a Mikkeller 1000 IBU. Trust me.
