HBO’s featurette titled “Inside the Wildlings” gives us a better understanding of Game of Thrones‘ notorious outsiders. Through interviews with the writer, director, and actors, we get great insight into who The Wildlings are and how they operate.
I’ve only read the first book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Because I enjoy the show so much, I want to watch it without constantly wondering why certainly things were omitted or when something I read was going to happen. For me, the Wildlings are still largely unknown. We saw bits and pieces as Jon Snow unwillingly traveled with them, but their role appears to be much larger this season. Why else would HBO take the time to detail the sets and background story of their group?
