High schooler in trouble for using periodic table elements in senior quote — check out what she spelled

A senior at a Georgia high school could get banned from her graduation ceremony.

School officials finally realized she used the periodic table to spell out “Back that ass up” in her yearbook quote.

Paris Gray, a senior vice president of her class at Mundy’s Mill High School in Clayton County, Ga., used the following quote in her yearbook:

“When the going gets tough just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus.”

Gray explained she was dispensing sage advice to her fellow students.

“Basically, it was me just saying start all over again,” Gray told WSB. “You have to go back and start all over.”

School officials want to ban her from the graduation ceremony this week. Gray thinks they’re making a way bigger deal out of this whole thing. Gray’s mom is keeping it all in perspective.

“My first reaction ” her mom told reporters,”was you are such a nerd.”
