Jurgen Klinsmann apologizes for his son’s mean-spirited tweet about Landon Donovan

U.S. soccer coach Jurgen Klinsmann was forced to field a question today about his son, one day after the teenager ripped Landon Donovan on Twitter. He handled it with grace, calling his son’s actions “disappointing.”

On Thursday afternoon, the USMNT roster for the World Cup was revealed. Landon Donovan, arguably the most popular soccer player in U.S.history, was missing. Naturally, many fans attacked coach Jurgen Klinsmann on social media, unaware that Donovan had not played up to par for over a year. Klinsmann’s son was also one of those who also took to social media, though his message was anti-Donovan in nature.

“HHAHAHAHAHAHAH DONAVAN HAHAHAHAA I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE UNTIL PHONE NOTIFIED ME HAHA”

Klinsmann was asked about this during today’s press conference.

And that my friends is how you handle a situation involving your stupid kid tweeting stupid things. Parents, take note.
