Little Caesars introduces new 8-corner DEEP!DEEP! Dish Pizza

Little Caesars

Little Caesars is best known for their Hot-N-Ready pizzas, but their new 8-corner DEEP!DEEP! Dish Pizza is expected to be the biggest new product launch in their history. If this Detroit-style pizza is good, I’ll forgive them for their abuse of capital letters. It’s only $8 and is cut so each slice has crust on two sides, so I’ll probably let it slide even if the pizza is mediocre.

It’s about time Detroit’s finest buys into the Detroit-style. I’m not saying Little Caesars is the best pizza in town, but the owner, Mike Ilitch, also owns the Red Wings and Tigers. You’d think he’d be embracing every local custom he can find. And there’s none better than square deep-dish pizzas. You can argue all you want about NY-style verses Chicago-style, but I’ll typically take Detroit over both. The crust makes a pizza, and I want mine crunchy on the outside with caramelized cheese edges and chewy on the inside. That’s exactly what you get when you cook it in an industrial pan coated in oil. Yet another wonder of the world, imported from Detroit.

You can grab the DEEP!DEEP! Dish Pizza as a Hot-N-Ready from 4pm-8pm. Outside that window you’ll have to order it like a normal person. I know, your life is so difficult.
