McDonald’s Fish McBites are back!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. Starting in February, McDonald’s will be selling fish nuggets with the amazingly clever name, Fish McBites.

As you can tell by the picture, Fish McBites will be available in three sizes – Snack, Regular. and Shareable. I think we can all agree that no has ever shared a McDonald’s item, so just go ahead and change the name of the largest one to a “Fat Pack.” I don’t care if you ordered a 20-piece nugget; you’re eating until your belt bursts before you give up more than one. No word on prices yet, but I’d arbitrarily guess $2.49, $3.99, $6.99. I haven’t had a chance to try them, but rest assured a review will be coming once I do.

These may look like KFC’s popcorn chicken, but they are the made with the same fish as McDonald’s “Filet-O-Fish.” For you health nuts out there who care about such things, the fish in question is a certified sustainable, wild-caught Alaskan pollock. And here I just assumed it was cod like the fishsticks of our youth. Queue jokes about how Kanye West is a gay fish.

This isn’t the first time fish nuggets have found their way onto a McD’s menu. Last year they were released in test markets just in time for Lent. I’m don’t know if that was intentional timing or just a happy coincidence for all you Catholics that think abstaining from meat on Fridays will help you get to heaven.
