Meet Layka, the service dog who was shot four times at point blank yet still managed to attack and subdue the enemy while protecting her military handler, Staff Sgt. Julian McDonald.

Like many service dogs, Layka is a hero. She performed in the heat of battle, overcame her injuries, and protected her handler after being shot for times. A true damn hero. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending as you can see in the video below.

Be forewarned though, this video may cause an instant dust storm to appear or some sort of onion chopping contest. Nevertheless, watch this video and be reminded how special the relationship between man and dog can be.
