Michael Keaton’s new movie ‘Birdman’ looks like one twisted flick

Michael Keaton is back, with what appears to be one of the sickest movies of 2014, Birdman, a story about an actor who used to play a superhero, but now, now things are getting weird. Like super weird. (And yes, that’s him above. Seriously.)

The synopsis only BEGINS to tell this story: Birdman or The Unexpected Virtiue of Ignorance is a black comedy that tells the story of an actor (Michael Keaton) — famous for portraying an iconic superhero — as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.

Man, it’s good to have Keaton back. Before resurfacing this year in Robocop and Need for Speed the last time we saw Keaton in a film was…uh…well, he voiced Chick Hicks in Cars back in 2006. And before that…hmmm…well, it’s just great to have him back.

The film, set for release on October 17, 2014, also stars Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Zach Galifianakis, and Naomi Watts.
