I still don’t know how I feel about this movie. I wish I did but I don’t. Jose Padilha’s remake of Robocop is one of those Hollywood moves that just seems completely unnecessary. How can you improve the original? I don’t think you can, and computer animated ED-209s aren’t the way to do it. Neither is the weird black Robo-suit. But I don’t want to write it off without seeing it. The Evil Dead remake, which I also thought was pretty unnecessary, turned out solid.
