Paul Ryan makes a mistake by the lake
Paul Ryan’s nightmare of a week continued today with his, uh, “mistake by the lake.” While addressing the Cleveland Browns, Ryan spoke glowingly of rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden. He did so while pointing to his backup, Colt McCoy.
Ryan, the Republican vice presidential candidate, visited the Browns practice facility here today after a rally at nearby Baldwin Wallace University.
While addressing players, Ryan praised Weeden, whom he recalled watching play for Oklahoma State, according to a pool report.
The only problem: The Wisconsin congressman was pointing to McCoy.
I imagine Paul Ryan later ran wind sprints with the team and told everyone he clocked a 4.4 in the 40. Or something close to it.
He’s not particularly strong recalling numbers. Especially ones involving his athletic achievements.
