An MIT student figured out how to make a real life Mario Kart

By 05.09.12

It’s been firmly established that folks who go to MIT love games, as evidenced by them turning a building of theirs into a giant game of Tetris. So what’s the next step? Make a real life Mario Kart, of course.

While no Mario Kart connection is implicitly stated, it’s rather obvious nonetheless, and is something Kotaku also noticed. They also estimate that it would cost a person $1,300 to build themselves.

Too bad that it’s rather bare bones and doesn’t have as much styling as the rides you find in the games, but perhaps that would slow it down and the like? This is real life after-all.
