The first teaser for Jonathan Glazer’s movie Under the Skin is just as strange as you’d expect. It also features Scarlett Johansson walking around in her underwear, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Scarlett Johansson’s role is that of an alien disguised as a beautiful woman on Earth. She seduces men only to then sell them back to her home planet, which is a completely normal thing for aliens to do I suppose. I’d love to have a moon pet. It’s also a role that Johansson was born to play. She has the beautiful woman thing on lockdown.
Under the Skin isn’t being showered with praise, but that is to be expected. Glazer’s previous movie, Birth, was a “love it or hate it” film, and this looks to be as well.
